Today is the day that we finally leave. I can't believe that it's finally here! As you can see by my ticker its been almost 3 years since we started this journey. And what a crazy, bumpy ride it as been, but it's all been worth it. We are all packed...it's interesting trying to pack for 6 people to go to Europe for 3 weeks. The kids are excited to be going on their first plane ride. I don't think they were very happy about having to go to school today, but it will help pass the time and allow me to check, double check, and triple check to see that we've packed everything we need. We will be flying all day tomorrow, but Friday is the day that we visit Viktorija at the orphanage. I can't imagine what she must be feeling. I hope she is more excited then scared. I just want to hug her!
That's all I have for today. My next post is sure to be full of information! Thank you everyone for following along. Please feel free to post. We would love to hear from you! We appreciate everyone's prayers and support. God bless!
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you were matched and travelling...today!!! What amazing news!!! I'm so happy for you all and that you all get to travel together to bring her home. I would love to bring everyone...
We were matched with our 2nd choice...Aismante. She is 3 and is relatively healthy. I was sad at first not being matched with the baby, Ieva but she had cleft palate and it would've been a tough journey for us all. God has plan, the best plan. I wish I can send a picture.
I think your Viktorija was presented to us last year. We were holding out for 2 little girls and declined. I remember seeing her...she is beautiful!!! Blonde, right? Good luck and God bless! I pray that you get your 40 days waived!! I'm following your blog and will look for updates.
Evelyn,
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful news. Yes Viktorija's our little blondie but recent pictures she is getting darker. We were given her info last year about September only to find out later we had to bid for her, but it sounds like you know what that is all about. Thank you for your prayers and we will continue to pray for your family.
